Astrology Workshops in CT

Hey everyone!

I have been told by so many people over the last couple years that I should teach others about Astrology. Well, the time has come. I have set up a 3 part workshop that I’m hosting at several locations around CT. These are introductory Astrology workshops that will give you some insight about current transits and what it means for your Astrological Natal chart. I’m adding dates regularly and be sure to check back to starsister.net and facebook to see where I’ll pop up next.

So far, we’ve got The Ruby Tree in Woodbury, New Insights in Sandy Hook, Stella Luna in Southington, Light Heart Wellness in Southington, The Red Barn in Durham, and Hidden Gem on Main in Wallingford. I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to share these workshops with all of you and for all of the shops that have welcomed me with open arms to come and read for all of you.

Mercury Retrograde and You

For those of you that are not quite sure what Mercury retrograde is here is a brief description :

Three or four times a year, planet Mercury is said to go retrograde , that is to say it moves in an opposite direction of planet Earth . The same thing happens when our planet passes Mercury in our orbit around the sun. Mercury is just moving slower than Earth, causing the illusion that it’s moving in retrograde.

The energy shift that this creates can be quite annoying , especially if you are a Rising Virgo or Gemini because you are ruled by this planet. Chances are some of you that are Rising Virgo and Rising Gemini are experiencing anxiety and communication issues already.

To all of you , if you have paperwork, travel plans that you want to book, e-mails that you need to answer that you have to put off, medical supplies that you have to order, registraitions that you have to make, putting your house on the market, closing on a house , any paperwork you need to do for a legal proceeding , a test you need to reschedule…

If you set up anything like this before the retrograde you will be ok.

The difference between your sun sign and your rising sign.

What is the difference between your sun sign and your ascendant/rising sign?

Your Sun sign is the DAY you were born. It represents your ego and how you think of yourself in your head.
Everyone wants to be seen as their sun sign but it’s not that simple. Only the people we are most comfortable with get to see this.

Your Rising/ Ascendant sign is the zodiac sign that was rising in the east the EXACT TIME that you were born.

Your Rising / Ascendant is very important because it shows the jumping off point of your life and how the Planets are going to act within those houses.

It is also the person that everyone meets first. This is the mask that you wear until you are comfortable .

This is why there are no two astrological signs that are the same. You can have a friend with the same astrological sign as you and they probably have a completely different life. What is an aspect?

In astrology there are these things called aspects.

What is an aspect ?

Aspects are the building blocks in Astrology. Basically, as the planets are moving around out there in space they are creating angles that give off different types of energy. An astrologer looks at these angles and planets along with the houses that they are in and uses that to make predictions Based on how they all work together.

The first one that I am going to talk about is called a conjunction.

A conjunction is one of the most versatile and favorable aspects in astrology. A conjunction sits between degrees 0° and 8° on a birth chart or in the sky.

An example Of a very positive conjunction would be Venus conjunct Jupiter. This is one of the most romantic and luckiest aspects that you can have.

When two more difficult planets come together such as Mars and Pluto this can prove to become angry, violent and of course confrontational but remember this is a favorable aspect so the outcome will be positive.
