And if you use 1789, we elected our first president. Doing so gave us a proper head of state while making the United States a sovereign nation. This doesn’t mean that it is turbulent until then. What it means is that we are playing the long game until then. If you are asking for instant gratification, you are going to be disappointed. 2028, that’s when we calm down.
